About Us
The Montebaducco company with about 800 head is the largest company in Europe and perhaps in the world specialized in donkey breeding and in the production of donkey milk. With an internal freeze drying plant, it directly manages all stages of the production chain. It was founded in 1990 from the pioneering idea of Giuseppe and Davide Borghi, father and son, in order to enhance the donkey species otherwise destined for extinction. The company inherits its name from the hill that overlooks it, called Montebaducco, which is located in a rural oasis in the heart of the Reggio area, a land rich in farming traditions, love for farming and ancient gastronomic culture. The company follows the methods of organic agriculture and animal husbandry
